Why doesn't Jamaica allow you to buy citizenship like St.Lucia and Turks and Caicos?

Advice

Your absolutely right. I have a Canadian friend who has been living in Jamaica for over 7 years…lolHe has money, lives in a nice place dates jamaican girls and is having a blast. And he is not a citizen. He basically told me jamaica doesn’t give a shit.

Advice

Book Haram, Christian vs Muslim tension in North/south, state corruption, high income inequality are some of Nigeria’s cons. It’s richer yes and Lagos may be more developed than Kingston but Jamaica’s problems are more “inferior”. Also Jamaica’s location is pretty much strategic for those who want to “retire” WITH money.

Advice

I think if you have a foreigner first mentality, you should become an expat and directly serve their purposes elsewhere, while the rest of us undo their influence and stop being dependent on the horrible treatment they give to survive.

Advice

Well if gentrification was on steroids. At least in PR. Look it up - they opened the island to businesses/investors to come there as a tax haven and it’s basically making the island unlivable for the locals bc the price of everything has skyrocketed.

Advice

So then imagine what creating a tax haven would do to Jamaica if a location with a stronger economy can’t fight the forces of wealth that eat up all the resources and destroy communities. Asking rich people to bring their money doesn’t benefit anyone except other rich people and the politicians they’re paying off.

Advice

Bob marley’s country is priceless..you can do anything you want to once your connections can afford it .buying citizenship would probably make a difference but it could cause some problems too..corruption is uncontrollable as the heart and minds of men, I think the leadership can not decide to do so on its own but have to wait on an appointment from the throne to act upon,..crime would surely disrupt any promised development that it would bring forth.
