Norma Webster Salon & Spa

The Norma Webster Salon & Spa's rich history dates back to 1973 when a young Norma Webster sought to pursue her dream of working in cosmetology, with "two chairs and a dream". Her knowledge, finesse and amazing hair cutting skills are unmatched in western Jamaica. After leaving Mount Alvernia High, Norma became an apprentice for Dorothy Gourzong Vendryes where she perfected her craft and was determined to make a name for herself. Norma Webster has studied locally and abroad, constantly improving on her skills and keeping abreast of industry trends. She trained with some of the top lines in hair care including Vidal Sassoon, Redken and has worked as a technical consultant with Soft Sheen (West Indies). Almost four decades later, Norma Webster has established herself as an esteemed cosmetologist, businesswoman, hairstylist and western Jamaica's only certified trichologist, trained in identifying and treating disorders of the scalp and hair. She was instrumental in the development of the cosmetology programme at the Montego Bay Community College and was an integral member of the standardization committee working with the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) to bring more structure to the local cosmetology industry. Norma is married to the talented singer Errol 'ET' Webster and has three beautiful daughters- Michelle, Monique and Marsha. With her daughter, Monique Webster serving in the capacity of Managing Director, the future of the salon is definitely in good hands. Monique was formally trained as a cosmetologist/aesthetician/makeup artist in Toronto, Canada and has helped to grow the Norma Webster brand tremendously.
